Candice Ann Falzon (born 13 March 1985) is an Australian professional ironwoman, surf life saver and model. She is of Maltese heritage.

Candice Falzon was, at 12, the youngest ever professional in the ironman series. At 16 she was a NSW state ironwoman champion. In January 2008 Falzon qualified for a spot in the 2008 Nutri-Grain Ironman & Ironwoman Series.

Candice Falzon appeared on the 2008 series of It Takes Two, supporting the Beyond Blue charity but was eliminated sixth on 1 April 2008. Her mentor was Anthony Callea.

THEY say there is no third party involved and definitely no tales to tell of yet another AFL player behaving badly.

But ironwoman Candice Falzon and West Coast Eagle Brent Staker have split after two years together.

The glamour duo, who became Perth's most photographed couple after Rebecca Twigley and Chris Judd left town, say they want to concentrate on their respective sporting careers.

Falzon said she and Staker were still close, but had "decided to go our own way for a little while".

"At the moment I need to focus on the Coolangatta Gold, which is coming up on October 18," she said. "And he needs to focus on his football".

"We've just decided it's best for both of our sports to spend some time apart."

Falzon said there were no other man or woman was involved in their decision: "We still have a lot of respect for each other. We're still very close and still friends. It is definitely not a nasty break-up."

While Falzon has moved out of the house they shared she says she has no plans to return to Sydney. Her mother was recently in Perth and helped her fit out a house of her own.

Falzon says she is also getting great results from training here. She came ninth in the Coolangatta Gold last year (her best placing in the event) and hopes to do better in October.

Falzon is also set to appear on TV next year on former cricketer Ryan Campbell's new sporting show on Channel One.

She is not letting the break-up with Staker get her down.

"I'm loving life and why shouldn't I be?" she said. "I'm 24, I'm healthy, there's no reason not to."

The romance between Australia's most controversial ironwoman and the footballer began around Christmas 2007.

Falzon eventually moved to Perth from Sydney and the couple soon became high-profile regulars at some of the big events on the social calender.

They appeared on the catwalk together at last year's Telethon Celebrity Parade, as part of the Perth Fashion Festival.
