DIVA, the Drag Industry's answer to the Logies is ready to explode bigger & better than ever. The 18th Drag Industry Variety Awards, the DIVA's, are to be launched in grand style at the Stonewall Hotel, 175 Oxford Street, at 12noon on Monday 21 July.

The DIVA Awards this year will be held on Monday 18 August. As well as presenting 20 statuettes DIVA 2008 will feature a showcase of Sydney drag queens in 6 spectacular shows, and presentation of the infamous 'Bitch of the Year'. Other Awards include Most Popular Venue, Diva Rising Star, Sydney's Favourite Drag King, Hall of Fame, Costume Design of the Year, and Outstanding Diva Moment.

At the Media and Industry Launch Jimmy Barnes will reveal the theme and poster of DIVA 2008, and announce and introduce to the media the two drag hosts for this years spectacular event.
