The Opening Mass is the first major event of the week, formally celebrating the opening of WYD08. It will be presided over by Cardinal George Pell, with all the bishops of the world, followed by Youth Festival events.
The Opening Mass and welcome concert will be celebrated at Barangaroo, which is the actual Mass location.
